Sommaren är kort

Weekend in Dalarna I am back from a beautiful weekend in Dalarna. The lake near Orsa is amazing. You can walk a kilometer into the water without loosing ground beneath your foot. On my way back from Söderhamn my train was somehow not coming. Instead arrived a late train from half an hour before. I entered and was lucky not being checked by the controllers. Arrived back at Nacksta, I found a filled Nacksta. Almost every new student I know is from Germany. The introduction meeting will be tomorrow. I will join, for having a look at the new erasmus students.

Holidays

More and more students arrive at Nacksta. Now I know from 5 new students. There are likely more, but we do not know them, yet. Yesterday evening we made a short trip to the Irish Pub in Sundsvall for it was Ulrich last Wednesday in Sundsvall and for it was the first Wednesday for the new students. At the moment I have no daily routine. If am not out in this beautiful weather I try to work on my thesis. Somehow, I only find in the afternoon and in the evening the "flow". But tomorrow I will make a brake, because I go to holidays! Holidays? "What does HE wants with holidays?" you likely think. Well, it is a difference if you just have limited time and a bunch of amazing opportunities or if you just don't have to think about anything. Tomorrow, my train will leave at 12am from Sundsvall. On Sunday evening I will come back. In the meanwhile I will meet my family in Orsa and stay with them for 3 days. The picture is from my brother and his girlfriend yesterday eveni...

3rd erasmus

Yesterday was the inofficial start of the 3rd erasmus semester because Jens arrived as the first of the new students. He even participated at the EILC in Falun! And guess what, he's our new flatmate! The main part of the new students will come this week. That the new students arrive means also that the last from the 1st and 2nd will leave. Today it was Benjamin's turn. The only good thing is that from now on there won't be less students in Nacksta than today. Jens and I brought Benjamin to the trainstation and walked back through the town. In the afternoon we will maybe walk to Sidsjön and at night we will check Sundsvall's pubs. For the 3rd erasmus semester has begun.

Empty Nacksta

Nacksta is getting empty. Before the last of us go did Jonny invite us for a good-bye-barbeque. We played ate really a lot (that's daily routine since I am back in Sweden; cakes and big meals almost every day). At the morning we had already a heavy breakfast at our flat and in the evening we had this huge barbeque in Svedje. With extra cake and pie. Afterwards we played frisbee, swam in the lake, went into the sauna and watched a movie. But I almost slept during the complete movie. We all have been so tired. Some even went to bed before the end of the movie. This morning at half past 7 brought Jonny Sebastian to the trainstation in Sundsvall. After just 4 hours of sleep. But Sebastian will come back in February! And I am looking forward to it. We could start writing a list of furnitures we would like to have ;) Anna provided me with some of her pictures of the last week. First week

Now it has been almost a week since I came back and I remember why: because of the summer. It is the most beautiful season here. And I tried to take advantage of the weather. I got a new bicycle for I changed my small blue one with Anna's big yellow bike. Funny, it is the same modell as mine in Germany - just bigger. My first ride was to Sidsjön two days ago to have a picknick there. The day after I repaired the brakes and today I bought a new lock and oil for the chain. This evening it rained and tomorrow shall be the ugly weather, too. I want to try to use the next sunny day for a small tour. Probably the road along Sidsjön out of Sundsvall.

Ein Neuer Tag

Sometimes in your life, their exist days which seem to overload your senses. Those days could be storyline for a movie. And this is definitely one of them. Let me think... what did I learn today... 30 minutes as buffer for reaching an airplane is not necessarily enough. Oh yes, and the Swedish mail service is the worst in whole europe, because letters with a stamp of a date a week before I have left Sweden did not reach me before my departure in June. As usual I have been nervous the whole morning. I thought about what I have done the past 5 weeks and what I have missed. I've been to Madrid and Leipzig, met close friends as well from my study program as from my Erasmus year. But I did not visit everybody I wanted. I thought about things I see for the last time for a while. The view from my balconey. My old room which isn't anymore really my room. And the dogs. Because we need with the car just 40 minutes, we started in time to be 30 minutes at the airport before Check-In closes...
