För den jag är

Unbelievable. Anna is already since 10 days gone. Or is it only 10 days? I lost my feeling for time. Everyday is full of experiences and activities. I cannot recall everything what I have done in the past two weeks. Many things are just small things which I appreciate a lot. But the last weekend was a highlight.
We went with 12 people in three cars to a place called Vallbo near Åre. We started at half past 6 in the morning on Saturday. Although some of us did not sleep at all during the fromer night we walked almost 8 hours. And it was awesome. We walked through so many different landscapes. Wood, swamp, high gras, Tundra, stone desert, climbed up a mountain, walked crosswards through the wood, on a dead river... Overwhelming. I remembered pictures of New Zealand while we wandered through that panorama. The view was breathtaking. The weather changed quickly a few times. One we had even an ice shower. In the end of the day we stayed for dinner at a pension where we got selfmade soup, bread and salat for 60 SEK. Thanks to a friend of Johanna from university who gave us her two small cottages for the night. Until the others have uploaded there pictures, there are only mine available:
2007-09-22 Vallbofjällen
On sunday we drove to Östersund, made a small visit at the university and walked through the city. We stopped at at a café where we drank coffee and ate cake. But I had so much cream, that I had to wait outside in fresh air, because I felt sick afterwards. Before we left we surprised the this year's exchange students. We drove on the camping site and talked to the first person we met. It was belgium exchange student from Liege. I am sure, she was a little bit shocked having suddenly a dozen peole around her who would like to get her to know. We spoke to a few and now we the basic contact between the campus' is established. Now we know each other we plan to do a trip together and to visit each other. Only Härnösand is still missing. For the pictures of the others you still have to wait until everything is uploaded.

oh, wie schööööön :-) das erinnert mich an unseren trip auf den åreskutan und nach bydalen. overwhelming trifft´s wirklich. ich freu mich, dass du diesen längeren trip mitgemacht hast. mehr davon - und vor allem mehr fotos! (nicht nur von den anderen, deine sind doch auch toll!)

östersund ist natürlich auch immer eine reise wert ;-)

Ich hätte gerne mal ein Foto von den Stugas gesehen. Auch ich bin dabei die Schönheit der Natur wieder zu entdecken, erleben und genießen.

I will survive

Wow. I did it! I survived surströmming! At least it tastes better than it smells, but that's not difficult. I don't need that taste again in my life. Bäh.... But from the beginning: they day started with practicing for the surströmming-party. My group trained a pantomimic performance. Every group had to present their results from their surströmming-investigation. The first group presented a Talk-Show, the second was my own group, the third had a very funny surströming-commercial performance, the fourth has covered the beautiful song " Vem vet " (engl.: Who knows) to " Vem äter " (engl.: Who eats) and the last made a TV-Show. It was a great fun. After the introduction we were seperated into groups again to prepare the party. I decided to help the entertainmentgroup. We exercised a song, almost one hour. After that, Nicola and i decided to make a few scetches as serving couple. Because of this we went back to the hostel to change our dress, but when we returne...

Fourth day at Härnösand

This was used to be our free day. Somehow the sunday passed by quicker than the days before. After the party at night i left already at 11 o'clock i walked to the universitiy for internet. But when i arrived, the internet was down. I have waited for 2 hours, but it didn't come back. So i had to walk 15 minutes back to the hostel without having done anything usefull. When i arrived i heard the internet was up again. Arg, why didn' stay in bed before?! After my second visit at the u niversity (internet was realy online), it was afternoon and Jana, Klara, Katerina, Denis and i decided to walk to the east coast of the island to see the open sea. On our way we met Phil who joined our trip. We walked about an our until we arrived at a small village "Gånsvik" at the east coast. We climbed on several rocks. The landscape was great. After four hours at all we were back at the hostel. Nothing more happend and i was realy tired from walking so went to bed early again.
