Friday evening Basti and I joined a karaokee-party at Felix's and Sandra's flat. But this time my vocal chords struggled with my cold.
On saturday Basti and I stayed in the living room, wasting time. I tried to cure my cold, because at the evenening should be a party. First there was a pot lock (look, luck?) party. We made filled champions. According to the others, they tasted very good. Good to know. I fear, when Joana was here, I has forgotten the onions. And this time I tried more spices. Short after the food party was a second party at 20B: a carneval party. It is not common in Sweden, so some germans got the idea to introduce the carneval to Sweden. At home, carneval is not my thing. It is just usual in some parts of Germany. At carneval everybody becomes drunk. The days in february are the worst/best (depends on which side you are). It is the end of carneval and daily life changes totally. People don't go to work and just celebrate. After having participated as teenager I don't like it anymore. This year I heaven flet to the dutch coast to escape from karneval. But introducing it to Sweden was fun. The music was great! First they started with german carneval music (usual this is not my favorite). But then they played almost forgotten songs I heard when I was ~14. We danced a lot Sirtaki! All in all it was the best party here in Sweden. Very good music, excellent atmosphere. I was back at home after 4 am. It was so cool. And, as you can see on the pictures, it was sometimes surreal, too. For example, there was a swedish counter party at the same house. But because we made so much interesting noise ("Hey, Hey Baby! I wanna kno-ho-ho-how...") they attended our party. Another example: some laughed at Basti and me "I thought you are quiet boys". Quiet? Only in daylight.
There are a lot of pictures: Felix, Sandra, Nicol, Nikola and Marco have each an own galery with amazing pictures.
At this morning I woke up after only 5 hours of sleep. We expected Malgosia from Östersund to arrive here. So Basti and I met at 9:30 in the kitchen, drank tea and tried to avoid loud noise. My voice was so hoarse. And when Malgosia arrived, I welcomed her with a hug and the first thing she mentioned: "You have a hangover". That's a good start for a day... We made a small walk through the wood and watched "American Beauty" in the evening. She will leave already tomorrow. But we will meet again at the EILC-Good-Bye-Party in Östersund next weekend.
