Tainted Love

Nacksta is empty in these days. Most of the students have left to Uppsala where they celebrate a huge 3-days-student party. Although I like party, this is not what I want. Anyway, I tried this weekend my luck at Sundsvall. Last night I stayed at home, because I thought nobody would go to the salsa-party. Instead I watched a movie at 18a.
Today was the 30th of April. At this day the swedish seem to say good bye to the winter. They have fires at several places of the town and fireworks everywhere. We went to Norra Berget for watching a fire. Afterwards I prepared for Kårhuset. Believing the advertising, I believed a full house as at the last party of december where people would have to beg for getting inside. It was not as full as last december, but there were far more people than usual. It was almost as last semester. The music was even great. Once they opend the old dance floor they played very good music, i.e. 80's remixes. We danced until the end which was already at 2am - as usual.
On the way home a stupid lonely swedish girl stole our 6-people-taxi which we had ordered. Damn...
But except from that was the day good. I even got a postcard from mejico! Great. Come what may come. Although tomorrow is free, I plan to go to university tomorrow. I was too lazy during the past days. I need to work on my article or I will never get deeper into the material.

Back to the places you will be from

The last day in Sweden went pretty well. After the morning I was finished with everything I had to fix. I brought back all my books to the library, picked up my copies of my diploma thesis, picked up the last stuff from my office, said good bye to Aron, changed my address at the Skatteverket, canceled my bank account and was back at Nacksta before 2pm. At 7pm I've been at Norrmalms and helped Marlies and Annemiek baking appelflappen . But I was rather useless than an effective support. Especially at half past 7 when my last Friends episode in Sweden started. The last for me. Since 8 I was sitting in the basement waiting for people. I do not know exactly when, but I think the first arrived at 9. And it was really nice. And I got the nicest present I could imagine. Well, I could not imagine it before! It is a memory game with pictures of all student from last semester. No picture is twice, so the game is about finding two different pictures of the same person. It even has a box title...

If I just lay here, would you...?

After skiweek Philipp arrived in Sundsvall for defending his master thesis. His visit fell right into the time of hard good byes. On Friday night we went out to Norrmalms and to Kårhuset for celebrating a last time with Marco, Marco and Ward. The Marcos left on Saturday morning. Ward, we brought Saturday night to the trainstation. On my way home I thought, if it always had been so hard. It was never easy, but this year it feels special. Because it is. This semester was special. More intense than the two semesters before. We were only a few, but the group fitted. But the most difficult way to the trainstation was definitely this morning when we set Christian and Maritha on their way to Copenhagen. Although we all know we will see each other again, this determinates a lifetime. It has been so special. So close with so many people. So many experiences. So many memories. Although we are still 15 people from the old semester, it feels like my time here already has ended. In 3 weeks I will l...

Moviestar

Last night I did not sleep that much. Maybe 3 hours. This morning I found out, that I counted too less working hours over the past three months, so I earned far less money than I deserved. Well, now I know it better. At 9 had to be at university, for an advertisment for the university's master programs. Haukes was there as well. He slept as much as I, but he still suffered from a hangover. But this movie was fun. We had to dress up in costumes and walked around in the clean room. It was the perfect job for that moment. We got told what to do and had just to follow orders. Very easy. Next Tuesday is the next and last movieday. I am looking forward to the result. When I arrived, Kevin, the director and teacher for the media-courses, looked at me and asked "Are you Markus? I remember your face". The he listed a movie and a salsa-interview I had particpiated in. I am impressed. Either he does not look so many movies or he has an excellent memory for statists whose biggest rol...
